Down Right Drilling & Pump Inc. was established in August of 2001 by Sam & Rhonda Kingrey and Tony & Linda Hackett. With Tony and Sam each having over twenty years of experience in drilling and pumps, we decided to start our own business with our own ideas. We leased a drill rig, support truck, and trailer and purchased a new pump hoist. We worked together mainly on the drill rig while doing pump work when it came up. Each well rig is worked and operated by the owners, Sam and Tony.
We now have seven employees and have grown to include 3 drill rigs, 2 pump hoists, a complete mud drilling system, 2 water trucks, a loader, an excavator, an air compressor, generators, a grout pump, and all the trailers and support equipment needed to drill most any well and install the pump system. Tony handles most of the drilling. Sam is in the office most of the time, talking with customers, working on bids, and trying to fill in the gaps on both the drill rig and pump rig.
We take great pride in doing things right the first time. We have a great reputation with all of our regulators and customers. We are licensed to drill in Idaho and Oregon. We are also licensed to do pump work in Idaho. We can drill almost any well, from 6” domestic to 20” municipal and irrigation wells. We also drill monitoring and injection wells and are willing to take on almost anything that our rigs can handle. We can set and work on almost any submersible pump from 3” ½ HP domestic to 12” 200 HP municipal and irrigation.
We are involved in our drilling community. Tony has been on the board of directors for the Idaho Ground Water Association for several years and served two terms as president. He will serve as president again in 2011. We work well with other drilling contractors throughout the state to help solve problems and share stories. We appreciate the help we have received and feel good when we can help others.
